As I reflect on this quote I’ve been wondering how many days have I wasted over the years not giving myself the healing power of laughter!
We have all heard the phrase ‘laughter is the best medicine’ but too often it’s the last thing we think about doing when we are feeling down.
But laughter is said to reduce stress hormones and boost our immune system - it’s a natural phenomenon for the body and the mind.
As I allow myself to enjoy the journey I’m on and give more focus to fully living over just existing, I’ve been laughing more.
Perhaps not a belly laugh every single day but certainly more chuckles and giggles and it’s interesting what I’ve noticed - life feels lighter, the days seem richer and I notice how much more alive I feel.
It’s incredible how just a small shift in my daily actions have made a huge difference.
As I give myself permission to be goofy I can’t help but smile!
